In term of functionality however, they are dissimilar to each other. Nonetheless this tower is a higher counterpart of the Egg Launcher tower from the previous era, Stone Age. Depending on maps, it may be outranked by Archer but on some other maps, vice versa happens. The Catapult does a decent amount of splash damage but has a low fire rate. It's buyable after you defeat Stone Age Impossible. The Catapult is a Medieval Age tower that functions similarly to the Egg Launcher.
